Yes, it's not that much like the source material but it's good - It reminds me of Veronica Mars, but worth a go, it's on the CW.

It's not bad so far. There have only been four episodes, but I liked those. The female characters are especially great. Lets hope they can keep that up.

So Stumptown is something I should watch? ;)

Well. I adore the female characters (all three of them), and it's nicely gritty with a switch of the usual "fridged girlfriend" trope. I like that.

What I don't like (now after four episodes) is the inkling that the main season arc is going to be all about the men - not in the way of "who is she going to date", thank god, but the plot seems to hinge on the past of both of the male characters. But I may be wrong about that.

ETA: I seem to have been wrong about that! What I took to be the setup to the season arc was wrapped up after only a single episode. Yay!

So far, the fourfive episodes I saw were all very good and I enjoyed them a lot.

People have recced it to me by comparing it to In Plain Sight, which I loved to bits, and they're not wrong, the comparison is apt.

Also, Michael Ealy is hot and Cobie Smulders is perfect. *g*
