Welcome to Guardian Battle 1.0! The collection of themes and screencaps are over,now it's time to icon.
Please read the rules below.

• Sign-ups will be open throughout the round.
• Use the themes and/or screencaps provided. We have 9 themes and 9 screencaps.
• You don't have to create all 18 icons. You can make 1-18 icons and extras/alts if you wish to. This means that you can enter the battle even if you feel like creating 2 or 3 icons. :)
• Create ONE icon per theme / screencap.
• Post your icons as a comment below. You may use the code in the box below or label your icons insome way as long as it's clear. Comments will not be screened so that we can show our love for everyone's icons. :)

I love the negative space icon!The wistful one is so lovely!Never would have thought of Heipao Shen Wei for the vibrant icon but I ended up doing Chu Shuzhi for that one unexpectedly so I get it!The clever quote work in that icon-nice!XD The profile one is very cool!The heroism one is funny!

I love what you've done with the 3rd screencap,lmao!It looks like a meeting and I was trying to do just that with my icon but it didn't work!
The cake is a lie....oh man! I like how you added that touch of butterflies in the 2nd screencap. The first one....I can't, the words make it 10000 times sadder. T_T

Oh my goodness, I love these! The Heroism one, hee! And aww, Shen Wei being all wistful in the Layers/landscape one (such gorgeous colours). And so many of the screencap ones, too, especially #2, #4, #5 and #6. (Are they snaggable? I may need a few of these.)

I love how vibrant and fun they are -- your colouring work is always so amazing. And the fonts are perfect for each of them.

I love the 5th cap icon! It's gorgeous!The family one makes my heart soar,seriously,it's so soft and looks like ZYL is fixing SW's hair!AAHH!!Great work in cap2 and cap3 also! Haha, the 'your king' in bold letters adds a nice touch to the icon,I like the dual colouring there too!

I love the textures on Family and Cap 3. Beautifully faded coloring in both. I really like what you did with Cap 5 as well. The moon fits perfectly there! And the composition and text work on Cap 8 is awesome!

Ohhh, your set is made of YAY! Particular favourites, for me, are Heroism (yesss! so dynamic!), Negative Space, Profile, and screencaps 1, 2, 4 (<3 <3 <3), and 5 (heeee!). And your facepalm one is SO MUCH FUN! These are giving me so many feels (Zhu Hong!!) and they're all so beautifully crafted! *gazes, rapt*

Phew.... finally getting around to replying on everyone's icons here.

I love Zhu Hong in that green. Awesome! Same goes for the Zhu Jiu icon, the coloring on that is amazing! I really like the ones with the bright green background, too. The scene on the roof is so nice with that painty/cloud texture!

Shen Wei in the steel icon looks so happy, omg. Totally not what the scene is supposed to convey (and this might be why the scene usually doesn't work for me, hmmm), but he looks like a seductive ad here! I love it!

I cackled at the king cap. :D The composition of Ye Zun is just WOW.

Oh, these are all so gorgeous, and I love your choices behind them -- the family one, yes, and heroism! ♥ ♥ ♥ That's such a perfect choice for wistful, too! And your execution -- the crops and the colouring. So beautiful! I think the family one (and how it's so squarely focused on Zheng Yi) and the second screencap one (aslkdjfaskdf) are my favourites, but they're all so good! *heart eyes*

Thanks for calling out your favorite details! I made Shen-Wei-looking-up-at-the-stars as the one for Wistful first, and really loved how it came out, but then I had the idea to do a moving one with the necklace and just... had to. Then figured it would still be ok to share both. XD

Oooh, those look great! I like the style in the Layers one. Unusual filter, and it works really well! I like all kinds of comic/painted looks, and they're not easy to achieve.

I really like the light effect you added to the cap of Shen Wei in front of the SID door, that really makes this very difficult cap *work*! The text in Soulmates is great, too.

My fave is the Wistful one. I'm going to snag that if I may? It's perfect. <3
